Giorgos Vasiliou

Giorgos Vasiliou was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. He is a graduate of the Department of Folk and Traditional Music of the University of Ioannina and has been professionally involved in music and singing since the age of 15. He has many collaborations to his name in Cyprus and Greece, mainly in places such as Ioannina, Arta, Preveza, Katerini, Litochoro, Thessaloniki, Kefalonia, Athens, Patra and Amfilochia. He has also taken part in folk and traditional events in the United Kingdom, such as the Wine Festival in London, organised by the Cypriot-British community in London, Nottingham and Birmingham. He has worked with great artists in the past, including Thanasis Polykandriotis in bouzouki ensemble concerts at a major event in Athens. Lately he has been appearing on various stages and at events around Cyprus.
